My Story
How I found My PathMy journey toward this work did not begin with Reiki.
It began many years ago with a question I could not yet answer.
The Moment
The Moment That Stayed With Me
When I was 27 years old, something happened in my life that changed me forever.
It is a deeply personal part of my story, and I am not ready to share all of it yet. When the time feels right, I will.
What I can share is that one evening, during one of the most difficult moments of my life, I fell to my knees, looked up, and asked:
Why?
At that time, I did not know who I was speaking to.
I did not know what was listening.
But I remember what I felt.
And somewhere deep within me came an answer:
You will be okay.
I askes Again:
What else do you want me to learn?
Then everything became quiet.
There was no answer.
For a long time, I did not understand what that moment meant.
New Mexico
New Chapter
In 2016, my husband, our two young children, and I moved to New Mexico.
Life changed in ways I never expected.
We lost almost everything.
For the first time in my life, I truly understood what anxiety and uncertainty felt like.
But sometimes a difficult chapter changes the direction of your life.
During that time, I met a shaman.
The first time I met her, something inside me became very still.
I felt a quiet knowing:
This is something you need to explore.
I did not fully understand it then.
But the feeling stayed with me.
The Path
The Path Unfolds
Since 2017, I have continued learning, exploring, healing, and discovering more about myself.
Over time, my path led me to Reiki and to deeper study within the Authentic Usui Reiki tradition. The more I learned, the more I felt that this practice belonged naturally within the path I had already been walking.
Reiki became one part of a much larger journey toward understanding the relationship between our inner lives, our bodies, our experiences, and the way we move through the world.
For me, healing is not about becoming somebody different.
It is about reconnecting with who you already are.
Philosophy
I Am Not Here to Fix You
I do not believe I am here to fix anyone.
Each person has their own journey.
I am simply here to walk beside you for part of it, to hold a peaceful space, and to offer what I have learned through my own experience.
If I can help someone feel a little more peaceful, a little more grounded, or a little more connected to themselves, then this work has meaning for me.
And
The Answer
Maybe the question I asked at 27 was never meant to be answered all at once.
Maybe the answer had to unfold through my life.
Through uncertainty.
Through loss.
Through learning.
Through healing.
And after all these years, I understand something much more clearly.
This is my path.
I am here to create a peaceful space where you can reconnect with yourself and listen to what may already be within you.
If you feel called to begin your own journey, I would be honored to walk beside you.
Let me be a little light that helps make your life a little lighter.
With love and light,
Bun
